Theresa Grant for Oshawa city Council - Ward 4

About the Candidate

I am a proud Ward 4 resident, a small business owner, a Community Leader and a Community Volunteer. I am a Durham College Graduate. I have 13 years of municipal government experience assisting residents and helping them navigate the municipal system. Throughout my career I have worked with a broad range of people in various departments within the municipality, solved problems, and learned how the municipal government operates. I understand the challenges our community faces and I know that residents deserve a representative who listens, communicates openly, and perhaps most importantly, follows through.

I am running for City Council because I believe Ward 4 deserves a strong consistent voice at the table. I believe our neighbourhoods deserve thoughtful leadership, responsible decision making, and someone who is visible, accessible, and accountable to the people they represent. I believe that Councillors need to understand that they work for the people of the Ward.

Public service is about more than casting votes and attending meetings. It’s about being part of the community attending events, talking with the people who call the neighbourhoods home, listening to their concerns and being a strong advocate for the residents at City Hall.

You can expect me to be honest, present, and accountable. Together we can build a stronger Ward 4.

Our Community. Our Future. Let’s Build it Together

The Downtown Core

Restoring Pride, Safety, and Opportunity

Downtown Oshawa was once a vibrant hub of activity and it can be again.

For generations, our downtown was a destination where people gathered to meet, shop, dine, attend events, support local businesses and enjoy all our city had to offer.

Property Crime

Safe Neighbourhoods Strengthen Our Community

Every resident deserves to feel safe in their home, their neighbourhood, and their community. Property crime affects more than damaged or stolen belongings- it takes away a family’s sense of security and peace of mind.

Thank you for taking the time to visit the website and learn a little about my priorities. Please consider donating to the campaign if you are able to do so.
